The intent of the project was to rehabilitate the historic designated motel into a eco-resort with geothermal heating/cooling, solar panels, and on-site water treatment through the integrated Living MachineTM. The resort features total water reuse on site, passive heating and ventilation, and a biolarium with built-in photovoltaics all while revitalizing the central cotton wood stand in the area. A later expansion to the resort included adding over 40 rooms, additional storm water capture under a new parking area with ground storage modules and particulate/oil remover system.
